hey! sounds all like one big adventure. too bad you got so ill, I suppose you are doing much better now. When on the road it is important to understand your limits, and I see you became aware of that too

I spoke with James yesterday. He was in Paris, he tried hitching out. First time I spoke with him was in the morning, while he was on the net trying to find a good spot. second time was in the early evening, when he was back on the net, trying to find a better spot… Hope he arrived in Antwerpen at a reasonable time.

Take care, and enjoy your final (?) two weeks here. Are you sure already you want to head back?

I hope you are right and change comes and fast. For far to long have the greedy corrupt capitalist had control of everything. I work for everything it disgusts me when I see people like Michael Eisner who write themselves unbelievable checks that add up to an amount of money that could sustain life on mars. I do not hate the rich just the wretched excess and greed that seems to come with power and wealth. Let the change be swift.

Hey, nice to read that it only took you 5 minutes. But let me set straight that I don’t own Hitchwiki. All text is available under a free license, and you can even download the entire database. I’ve had quite a lot of influence on the project but so did MrTweek, who did most of the technical work and then there have been hundreds of hitchhikers who have edited and added tons of information.

Travel tip for accommodations:

For backpackers/budget travelers: Hostels are a good choice, and there are a lot of decent hostels around Berlin that offer a nice place to stay in at a cheap cost. Some services might not be available but that is okay.

For families/groups of people: For a group of vacationers, its better to rent a holiday/ vacation apartment or flat than staying at a hotel. This gives you access to a whole house all to yourself and is cheaper than renting several rooms at a hotel. For longer stays like a week to a month, this is basically the most economical costs. There are plenty of apartments for rent in Berlin, like in this List of Berlin Apartments.

For business traveler: there are a lot of nice Berlin hotels for the business traveler on the go. With all the special amenities that you would want. Its of course more expensive. But perfect for those short stays for conferences etc…
